Exhibition Text
What I am showing in these pictures is how Mexico is like on a daily basis. These are the places, people and things that can be seen there. Having photos that are related to my ethnicity and culture help myself and others realize just how different life is in different parts of the countries.

Cobo is a Mexican artist who specializes in photography and photojournalism. Most of his work consists of images that are of the poor and the social status of the lower class. On occasion he would do work that included the "famous" and pictures that would make a statement.

In one of the photos that I took it was of people who were riding on the bus. They were sitting there on their daily routine ready to get off on the stop that they needed to. What I like about the photo that I took was how there were shadows along the edges and there was sun light coming down on the elderly woman who was sitting in the back.
A way that Hector G Cobo's and my images are different is that rather than take a picture of the outside of the bus and a person behind it, I took a picture of the inside of a public transportation vehicle and the people inside of it. The other thing would be that, this image is in black and white and the image that I took was left in the original state and color.
I admired how Cobo was able to make the man the main focus of this photo. How he captured that moment just when he was about to cross pulling onto his cart. It really give the viewer a sense of how this man was really checking if it was safe to cross or not.
